Ocean City, NJ - Part I - The beach

As a kid I was not a big fan of Ocean City.  Don't ask me why, I am not really sure.  I mean, some of it may have to do with the fact that we also vacation in Wildwood, NJ and that was more family oriented.  When we went to OC it was usually just, my Mom, me and my sister, Karen, and my grandmother, Ellen Davis.  Ellen was my Mom's mother.  When we went to Wildwood, it was the entire family including my Dad's parents and cousins, as well.  If I had to pick a reason for liking Wildwood more, I would say that would be the reason.  Fast forward to now, and I feel completely different.  I love Ocean City, NJ.  It's great.  For all of my blog readers, you know we have vacationed there before.  For those of you looking for a new place to vacation and if you love the beach, try Ocean City, you will not be disappointed.  All that being said, the girls and I took a day trip to Ocean City and again, we had a wonderful time.  Seriously, it's the beach how can we not.  Even with just a day to visit, it was my favorite part of the trip.  If I don't retire in a cabin in the woods somewhere, it'll be at the beach...

The girls and I in the flip flops...Drea always wants to do this

Drea wore this bathing suit because she says its her lifeguard
bathing suit...also I'm pretty sure I have this same picture from
last year.

Charlotte testing the waters

Charlotte showing Noni some shells

Both of the girls running in the waves

Loving the water

Let's see how much sand I can get in my bathing suit

Playing together

Oh yeah, pizza break...it does not get better then Preps

Drea and Daddy

The girls enjoying their pizza

Then Charlotte taking a nap...worn out from the sun and pizza

Back at the beach and buried up to her neck

Run!

Charlotte tormenting Drea

Really being lifeguards

Drea giving OC the number 1...Charlotte being Charlotte

Even though we were only there for a day we had a great time...look for my next post about the second half of our day.  I will leave you with a video of Charlotte first harassing Drea, who is stuck in the sand, then Charlotte chasing the seagulls...

Making memories for sure! I think Charlotte might actually catch a bird one day! Her Aunt Laura was like Charlotte also! I love O.C. and was happy to accompany you! I, too, love the log flume, as you know! I have to say, when we went with my mom, she always paid, which was awesome, but we had to keep to her agenda. (LOL!) I also think, Andy, she scared you! Love, Mom

The log flume has always been my favorite. In fact I was probably mother of the year because I took both Brynn and Lydia on it almost as soon as they could walk. They were so little I held on to them for dear life because I was afraid that they would fly out. They loved it. I think the reason that you may love Preps so much is not only because their pizza is so also, but I think Grandmom may have tramutized us against Mac and Manko.
