Random Pics and Park Number Four

I thought I would just share some random pics of the girls because quite frankly they are beautiful and I want to share.  They are both pretty smart too!  Not only that, they are funny and pretty great to spend time with.  Ok, I am not going to lie, my life is better because of them.  Seriously, look at them.  Adorable!

Char was wearing one of my t-shirts to bed, it was too cute

Then she was rolling around on the floor because she was stuck in it

Drea is so beautiful....I think I may buy a gun, just to scare the first boy that tries to ask her out

Drea was wearing one of my shirts too...I thought that color looked good on her

The girls and I traced each other in our driveway

This is Charlotte

Drea drawing Charlotte

When we were done it looked like there was a massacre in the back drive

Then we built a fire

I think Drea like fires just as much as me....hide your matches and plastic

I thought they looked so cute sleeping like this....I also thought Charlotte was going to roll onto to Drea or behind the couch

So I usually give the Summer Park Tour it's own post, but I am not going to for Morris Park for two reasons.  One, because the batteries died on the camera.  Secondly, because it isn't a very good park.

This is the whole park, at least playground equipment

I liked that it had three see-saws, however Drea kept bumping Char which didn't go over to well

That's it for pictures, but like I said it isn't that good of a park for the girls.  There used to be more playground equipment, but they either moved it or did away with it all together.  Morris Park is a good park to go for a walk, which many folks do, but for two little girls looking to play it's not too good.  I rate this park only two swings.  Part of the reason I even rate it that high is because of this side note:

Both girls had to use the bathroom, but the bathrooms are not yet open for the summer.  Anyway, the way the playground equipment is set up is at the bottom of the hill.  So the girls say they can't make it home and they want to pee outside (Thanks, Gwen).  Well, Char is very successful peeing on the hill.  I think part of the reason was because she got completely naked.  Or naky is how she says it.  Drea on the other hand, wasn't as successful.  I said this before though, Drea is our fancy girl, so I was just proud of her for trying.

Summer Park Tour: Park Three

Well, our tour continues with a visit to Valley Falls State Park.  The girls and I were invited to go with our friends Jordan, Sarah, Isak and Elijah.  We also managed to mix in a picnic and some exploring of the falls.  The girls had a blast as usual and it was a good time spent with friends.

This is the play area at Valley Falls.  It's not the biggest, but it's new and the kids basically had the whole park to themselves.

I think this swing is for handicapped children, but it works as a double swing for Elijah and Charlotte

Isak and Drea

I'm not quite sure what Charlotte is doing here...either way she is cute

I was positive Charlotte was going to fall in the water....she didn't

Exploring the cave with friends

Ok, so Charlotte didn't fall in the water, but she managed to fall in the mud

T was very upset that she fell in the mud, but as soon as I said let me take your picture she stopped crying.  I am having trouble writing the final paragraph so I will just include it, in the caption area.  I loved this park.  Rating it on the scale of one to five swings, I give it 5 swings.  There is so much for the kids to do here.  Maybe it was spending time with friends, maybe it was because it wasn't a busy day, maybe it was the food.  Either way it was a great time and there was a little bit of everything for the girls to do.  I think they will have no problem at all going back.

Summer Park Tour: Park Two

This week is Spring Break for Drea and I, so what better way to spend our break then continuing our Park Tour.  Up next on our tour is Watson Elementary school playground.  I guess technically it is not a park, but to be clear my definition of park is playground equipment.  So it is part of the tour.  My tour, my rules.

This is one of the play areas at Watson...the kids usually never play there, but they did today.  Obviously not in this picture, but trust me they did.  I already put the camera away, but the girls ran up and down this hill several times.

This castle section is the newest play area...it has all kinds of cool things for the kids

This is another play area that also has all sorts of equipment for the kids to play on

So enough with all the pictures of the playground equipment, how about some pics of the cutest girls in the whole wide world

Ok, so I may have let Char dress herself

Drea loves to climb...

...and run

Look at me!

Music anyone

This is my favorite picture from the day....don't tell Charlotte

Take a look at Charlotte's shoes.  They are Dora crocs.  I must of told her a million times to put them back on her feet.  They weren't the best shoes to wear especially on this part of the playground because of the tiny rocks.

The girls were playing so nice together.  That is one of my favorite things to watch and listen too.

This by far is my favorite park in Fairmont.  I rate it 4.5 swings.  The two things this playground lacks is a water fountain and bathrooms.  I love the variety of things for the kids to do here.  I can't recall any time that we have been here and they haven't had fun.  I like that they have the different type of equipment for the girls.  There is also a big field that we could probably fly a kite in.  I think it will be very hard to top this playground.

WV Gymnastics, Art Projects, Easter, and Random pics

Last weekend our small group from church organized a play date at WV Gymnastics. (Thanks Gwen!)  Some of you may recall that is where Drea had her sixth birthday party.  Needless to say the girls had a blast.  It was nice to get to go there and just play and not have the stress of trying to have a party to go along with the gymnastics.  It was a relaxing time and a great way to hang out with friends without having to worry about messing up some one's house.  The thought is to try and plan different activities throughout the summer like this.  I am wondering how we are going to top this idea.  I am glad I am not one of the event planners.  Good luck girls!

Here is the only picture I was able to get of the girls together.  This seems to be a difficult task anymore.

I tried to get Charlotte to jump in, but she wouldn't.  At least on this attempt.  I did get her to jump in later, however her arm hit the red platform and threw her sideways.  Don't worry she was fine.  She is tough.

Drea and her friends, Elijah and Allie.

This is Reese hanging upside down.  Two seconds later he let go.  It was cool.  Wish I was that fearless.

Those of you that read our blog know that our girls love to do art projects.  Here are some pics of the girls doing some art projects for Easter.

My favorite part of this picture is the gigantic pile of foam pieces in the middle of the table.

Here is the end result of the art project.  I'm not quite sure about the long pieces of tape.  You will have to ask Char about that.

Like I said earlier it's tough to get a picture of the girls together.

She is such a ham

Horseback riding, WV style

Stacey recently took the girls to Valley Worlds of Fun and Drea got to drive the bumper cars all by herself.  I wonder if they make big cars with bumpers.  She may need them in a few years.
